Les chercheurs ont donc cherch\u00e9 un moyen pour att\u00e9nuer la densit\u00e9 de ce genre de m\u00e9tal : ils ont vu qu\u2019ils devaient faire un m\u00e9lange entre un alliage de gallium pur et d\u2019indium et des microbilles de verre compos\u00e9es d\u2019oxyg\u00e8ne. Cela a \u00e9t\u00e9 tr\u00e8s efficace parce que ces billes ont r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 affaiblir la densit\u00e9 de ce m\u00e9lange, et ce, jusqu\u2019\u00e0 97 %, lui permettant de flotter sur l\u2019eau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les exp\u00e9riences des chercheurs auraient montr\u00e9 que ce m\u00e9tal liquide \u00e9tait apte \u00e0 se d\u00e9placer en fonction d\u2019itin\u00e9raires d\u00e9finis au pr\u00e9alable, et qu\u2019il pouvait r\u00e9aliser des t\u00e2ches sophistiqu\u00e9es comme de la natation autonome, mais qu\u2019il pouvait se d\u00e9former et s\u2019adapter \u00e0 la forme souhait\u00e9e. Il est donc tr\u00e8s similiaire au T-1000 de James Cameron.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"les-atouts-de-ce-metal-liquide\">LES ATOUTS DE CE M\u00c9TAL LIQUIDE<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Cet alliage de m\u00e9taux liquide \u00e0 temp\u00e9rature ambiante a de nombreux atouts. En premier lieu, il est aussi l\u00e9ger que l\u2019eau. Ce m\u00e9tal liquide est en outre tr\u00e8s souple, et on peut le d\u00e9former, le manier et le remodeler un certain nombre de fois sans qu\u2019il soit ab\u00eem\u00e9. Nous pouvons trouver son point de fusion a 15,7 degr\u00e9s, donc \u00e0 temp\u00e9rature ambiante, ce qui le rend par ailleurs semblable au mercure. Finalement, son dernier atout, par lequel il s\u2019oppose au mercure, est qu\u2019il ne pr\u00e9sente pas la toxicit\u00e9 de ce dernier. Ce nouveau m\u00e9tal con\u00e7u par les chercheurs nous assure \u201cun haut niveau de bios\u00e9curit\u00e9 \u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L\u2019invention d\u2019un tel m\u00e9tal est un grand progr\u00e8s pour la science : il pourrait servir dans de nombreux domaines, comme celui de la robotique souple, mais \u00e9galement dans le domaine de la micro\u00e9lectronique. Il pourrait \u00e9galement \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 pour cr\u00e9er des exosquelettes, beaucoup plus l\u00e9gers et pratiques. Ces objets \u00ab requi\u00e8rent encore souvent de grandes quantit\u00e9s de m\u00e9tal \u00bb, ce qui les rend usuellement tr\u00e8s lourds. Un tel m\u00e9tal les rendrait plus ergonomiques. Finalement, l\u2019industrie biom\u00e9dicale, les domaines de l\u2019arm\u00e9e et a\u00e9riens pourraient aussi \u00eatre avantag\u00e9s par une telle invention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La conception de ce m\u00e9tal liquide pourrait \u00eatre un grand pas pour la robotique.
